Eco Game

Liam, Owen and I are working on a Eco game together. At this moment it’s still in its testing, but we have a few ideas for our final product. In our game there are destruction cards, which are more naturally accruing disasters. With theses cards you can take away one or maybe two cards (they aren’t very powerful). Or skipping a players turns. There are also Helping Cards, with theses cards you can play more than one card, that turn. Or pick up an extra card when it’s your turn. Then there’s the human’s. You don’t get this card until you  have you entire Eco system. When you get a human, you pick a card, which will tell you what specific type of career that human has. We are still working out the different types of humans. The point of the game is to whip out the other peoples Eco systems. So far the tests games have gone good, we are just missing a few cards to help the game move more smoothly.

What happened yesterday night at school?

Yesterday, January the 16 was the open house at Inquiry Hub. I greeted people at the front door, and handed them a flier talking about what we offer and how we learn here at IHub. Once all of the students and parents who attended the presentation were siting down and watching it, it was my job to refill the cookies. During the presentation, Owen, Liam, Kayla, Gabe and I were siting in the Lounge/Lunch room drawling on a peace of paper. Once the presentations were finished Hanna and I gathered a group of people together to start our tour in the Commons. We walked our group around the inside of the school. We showed them all of the spaces we use to do our school work, as well as answering the questions they had for us. The tour went well in my opinion, everybody had a question to ask us. After our tour we had many thanks from the parents. After Hanna and I finished our tour I thought I deserved a cookie. After eating my  cookie, I met up with Liam and Owen in the Commons. The projector was playing the video of the garden being built and a few other things to. After the cookies were all eaten I decided that I should probably head home.
